How to install mechanical seals
- Shaft
- Shaft size accuracy: h6
- Shaft face:Ra 1.6
- The end for mounting the shaft should be chamfered:3×10º,for smoothness
- Axial runout:±0.5MM; radial runout 0.04MM
- Hole
- Hole size accuracy:H7
- Hole inner roughness:Ra 3.2
- The hole should be chamfered:2×10ºat the end of mounting for smoothness.
- Installation
- The seal body,seal face,seal chamber,shaft,gland and pipes should be completely cheaned.
- Lubricative oil can be used where the rubber parts in installed,however epdm and NBR rubber parts should be avoided in oil,then had better use washing liquid or soap water.
- Hitting and broken of seal face or rubber bellows is not permitted.
- Correct installation and fixing need to assure spring compressibility meeting with the requirements of the installation height showed in the catalogue or drawing.
- Operation
- Before operation,static pressure should be tested with clean water.
- Had better run-in for 1 to 2 hours with clean water.
- The pump should be operation after putting media and water in ,the dry friction is dangerous.
- Please observe if there are any vibration,noise elevatred temperature and leakage in the seal chamber during operation.
